Welcome to TV Garth!

Ever since I was a kid, I loved antennas and TV reception. It was always a thrill to hook up an antenna and see what stations I could get, and see if I could pick up anything from a far distance. With the transition to digital broadcasting happening, my love for OTA (over the air) reception came back and this blog will focus on what channels I'm able to receive via antenna from my home just outside of Toronto, Canada. Plus there may be occasional commentaries on shows that I see while adjusting my reception.

Reception Reports: Sept. 13, 2009 with Rochester & Erie Swift-ly visiting Markham!

Sept 13, 2009 wasn't nearly as "hot" a DXing night as when I got Cleveland or Columbus, but I did pick up all Rochester, NY digital channels, plus some Erie, PA stations too from my home in Markham, Ontario, Canada. The big scandal of the day was the Kayne West interruption of Taylor Swift on the MTV Awards! I also caught some of WHEC's newscast, as well as a bit of WICU's weather with Cheryl Scott. (I also saw ads for WSEE and AAA pairing up for the WSEE iTeam Alert, and an Erie food donation program called Read N Feed!)
