Rochester was BOOMING in!
Wowsa! I don't know what to say except WOW! The great Spring weather allowed Rochester, NY stations to reach me all the way in Markham. I wasn't sure if their digital signals would be strong enough to reach me, even in great weather, but today I got to see them and took many pics. These are just samples of what I got. Soon I'll upload more and categorize them properly (plus I have to add them to the Channel Guide on the left!) Mostly caught soaps, but how can you not love fuzzy stuffed animals from "It's a Big Big World" on 21-1 WXXI, or "The Donna Dewberry Show" on 21-3 WXXI-C (PBS Create)? I'd love to offer her a spin off show called "Dewberry Was A Lady"!

Here's good old WIVB, which is Buffalo's CBS affiliate. Logo above, and longtime newsanchor Jacquie Walker below. It's eerie how similar she still looks to how she did in the 1980s! So far WIVB seems to be one of my more solid Buffalo stations since upgrading my equipment.
WGRZ NBC Buffalo
Since I was young, I loved NBC, and on a recent trip to Buffalo with a friend, we ended up right on the street where WGRZ's studios are located! According to many Toronto OTA viewers, WGRZ is one of the more "difficult" stations to recieve. My reception isn't always there, but I do pick it up pretty often these days! Above is the picture I took of their studios, and below are two (yep 2) shots of the channel when I was picking it up at home.

WGRZ Weather Plus
I was fascinated by this channel ever since catching a glimpse of it last Summer before upgrading my setup to catch it more regularly. It's the subchannel of Buffalo's WGRZ, covering Western New York's weather. I loved that even though it was based in the U.S., they cover Toronto's weather along with all the cities in and around Western New York. So whenever I see Toronto come up, I can't help but snap pics of it!
WNED Angry Pledge drive
Is it me, or does it look like the woman on the left is going to KILL the guy on the right if he doesn't bring in more pledge money? Man, things have gotten hardcore at WNED since the Goldie days ;-)
WICU (NBC) from Erie, PA
Was receiving WICU on Channel 12 (NBC from Erie, Pennsylvania) from my house this past week. It was analog, hence the fuzzy pic, but I doubt I'll be getting this anytime soon in digital. Check out the cool logo in the top pic showing the NBC peacock along with their digital channel number, DT-52. Right now Sun TV in Toronto is on 52 analog, effectively blocking any shot at the digital signal of WICU. The bottom pic is a local commerical advertising "Sesame Street Live" (with Elmo!) as part of the Erie Broadway Series. Note the website of WICU at the bottom right in the Elmo pic.
